“LOVE YOUR PET”
Virgin Islands Lottery Photo Contest Rules

Eligibility: In order to submit an entry, thoroughly read, complete, and sign the “Love Your Pet” Release Form which gives the Virgin Islands Lottery the rights to use your pet’s name and photo on the March 29th, 2012 Virgin Islands Traditional Drawing Ticket and for promotional purposes for an unlimited period of time. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter your pet.

Entry Forms:   The entry form is available online at www.winusvilottery.com. Entry forms are also available at Virgin Islands Lottery offices on all three islands.

How to Submit Entries:

1. Complete the Online Entry Form at winusvilotttery.com.
2. Upload your digital pet photo using the online form or email it to: loveyourpets2012@winusvilottery.com. Be sure to label your jpg with your full name and pet’s name. Example: “JennySmithcatSpike.jpg”
3. Last day for entry submissions is February 18th, 2012 at 12:00am.

Timing:  Entry submission begins Monday, January 16, 2012, 12:00am and ends Friday, February 18th, 2012 at 12.00am. Winners will be notified. Prize can be picked up at any VI Lottery Office.

Photo Guidelines / Requirements:  Upload (1) one image for each entry. Your submission must be in .jpg or .png file format and should not exceed 2MB in size. The photo should be of your pet only. See Judging Criteria below to see what the judges will look for when selecting the top 20 photos.

Content Restrictions / Photo Disqualifications:  Photos will be considered only if online Entry/Release Form is completely filled, signed, and submitted by February 18th, 2012 by 12:00am by the owner or guardian of the pet in the photo. Applicant must be in complete compliance of photo guideline.

• Images will not be eligible if file is damaged, too low-quality, or formatted incorrectly. Content must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement.
• The Submission must not contain brand names or trademarks other than those owned by Sponsor, which entrant has a limited license to use to incorporate in his/her Submission in this Contest;
• The Submission must not contain images or artwork created by entrant;
• The Submission must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
• The Submission must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
• The Submission must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations of the U.S. Virgin Islands or in any state where Submission is created.

Judging Criteria: Judging will be determined by a team representing the Virgin Island’s Lottery. The selection of the 20 top photos will be final and is at the sole discretion of the Virgin Islands Lottery. The judging team will select the top 19 photos. The 20th photo will be 1 selected by an online popular vote from the public at www.winusvilottery.com. The 19 pets selected by the panel of judges will receive $20 each. The pet with the most votes will receive $100. To increase chances of being selected, photos must follow the competition theme “Love Your Pet”. The photo should capture and convey your pet’s friendly, quirky, happy, “loveable” nature celebrating your love of pets.
